Sculptra® Aesthetic is an FDA approved facial rejuvenating injectable that reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles and deep folds, and increases facial volume. Dr. Clement has been using Sculptra ® Aesthetic for over five years, and is one of Sculptra ® Aesthetic's nationally known injection instructors. Dr. Clement will use a topical anesthetic before injecting Sculptra ® Aesthetic into the areas of the skin you would like to correct. The number of injections per treatment session varies depending on the degree of correction you desire. On average, three treatment sessions are needed over a period of a few months to give optimum results. Immediately after each treatment you may experience swelling, which can give you a preview of your end results. This swelling is mostly due to the bacteriostatic water used in the mixture; however, once the water has been reabsorbed, the swelling will subside and your appearance will revert back to its state prior to the injection. As the collagen grows over the next few weeks and months, you will see a gradual increase in volume and decrease in lines. The final results are generally seen within approximately six months following your original treatment.
